California Prune Board

California Prunes are the main sponsors of The Competition Theatre at this year’s Cake and Bake Show, London. I visited the fantastic show in Manchester earlier this year. Read my review or find plenty of delicious, nutritious prune recipes here.

California PrunesI love having a handful of sweet, juicy prunes with some gloriously thick Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey. It was what we had for breakfast every day of our honeymoon. These days I add a sprinkling of seeds to boost the nutritional content! I’ll be thinking up a delicious recipe to post on the blog soon.

How do you like your prunes? Is there a particular recipe you would like to see?

1st October 2014: The Giveaway has now closed! Many thanks to all those who took part. If you haven’t heard from me by 3pm today, unfortunately you haven’t been successful this time. Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook for future competitions, giveaways and of course, recipes.

I throw prunes, raisins, cocoa powder and some nuts (usually almond or cashew) into a blender, then line the mixture into a baking tin, add some weight and let it set for a while. Slice into little bars and you have your own snack bars. So simple to make and tastes great!

Hoping to visit the show this weekend so would be extremely grateful for a pair of tickets.

    Thank you!

I would love to win the tickets to attend the show. I love baking and think this would be a great chance to see some experienced bakers. I love cutting up prunes into porridge and muffins.

Cannot remember the last time, I ate prunes! Need some inspiration to cook with them please. These tickets would be very useful for that.

Thank you very much indeed for considering me.

The yummiest way of eating prunes is in a moroccan lamb and prune tagine. Truely scrumptious and a delicious autuminal meal . . .especially with a glass of Shiraz 🙂
